Tournament Finishes - Jan 26-27th

First, Second and Third! High finishes for all our teams this weekend! We are starting to fins our groove as a club and the energy is contagious!

13 RED

The 13's played at Center Court at the RVA Open and tied for 3rd place. They had great matches with some awesome rallies! We lost in the Semi's in 3 but all the games were competitive.

#Shoutout to Lauren Lanning for her consistent passing, defense, and serving! Adding a game-winning ACE to take us to a 3rd game!

The coaches are proud on how they competed and one of the refs at the tournament realized the potential of this team and said "You'll have the best team in this gym by the end of the season!" WOW! More fuel for the tank!

14 BLACK

14 Black takes home the GOLD down at the Lakeview RecPlex! This is their first tournament win this year and they are beaming with excitement! What a great day! We were nearly unstoppable and everyone played a huge part throughout pool play and playoffs. We showed really great resolve as a team and proved our progress to everyone.

#Shoutout to Maddie’s light out serving and to Bella and Molly who had some clutch blocks in the championship.

14 RED

Burlington Bash Champions! The 14 Red team defeated Burlington Elite 14 1/Orange in final 2-1.

The team showed a lot of grit and toughness winning in the championship after dropping the first set in the match.

The girls were balanced on offense, served aggressively, and showed a solid first contact all day. They are ready to prep for and compete at the Jamboree next weekend!

15 BLACK

15 black made it to the gold finals today. Even though they didn't finish on a W, the team played scrappy in a tough match to a good team. We will make a few improvements to tweak this extremely fun team!

15 RED

Coach Jungbauer is proud of the squad this weekend. We went 4-1 and placed 2nd in the gold bracket as a 15 year old team #PlayingUp 2 age groups in a 17s tournament. They played well all day. They continue to learn each time they take the court and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this crew. Looking forward to next weekend.

16 RED

The 16's competed in the Lakeshore Storm I Tournament this weekend and played well all day! They made it to the championship and lost, taking 2nd place!

#Shoutout to to Emma Adamavich who helped us with our wins and brought fierce energy that we LOVED to see on the court!
