SETUP: The server must be in front of the end line with the ball before the referee beckons for serve.

MARKING: If possible, place a court tape line ~6 feet in front of the end line; if not, coaches/officials will visually define the area.

SERVING STYLE: Can be used for overhand or underhand serves.

DECLARATION: The server must state before serving which area they are using and stay there until contact of the serve.

LIMIT: Maximum of TWO STEP-IN POINTS per term of service (score up to 2 points with step-in serves).

AFTER TWO POINTS: All subsequent serves in that term must be from behind the end line (normal serving).
