13 RED | 1st Place

What a dedicated group of girls!  13 Red was offered the chance to participate in an event at the I AM facility hosted Fondy Fusion Volleyball, and all of the girls responded within several hours of the offer being presented!  The coaches were so glad that they were all in!  Even with a couple of weeks without practice, and navigating some rust needing to be shaken off, we had some really impressive stretches of play where every single player on this team made many significant plays.

First off, our serving was some of the best that can be recalled in recent memory.  The zones that were hit, the changing of pace, and the high in rate of serves were staples in our matches.  Any misses that we did incur were because of the coaches giving them the toughest zones as challenges or on orders to go after an ace. We were rarely a "one-and-done" serving team on Sunday.  This tough serving then allowed us to see a lot of freeballs that, as the girls became more consistent in their first contacts, led to high percentage scoring opportunities, and some thunderous overpass kills!  The ability to run tempo sets off of digs were impressive, too!

Going 6-0, in a 14's event, dropping a single set, after no contacts for 2 weeks, with all players making great plays, was encouraging for the coaches and the players as we head in to the Power League next weekend and the fast approaching Winter Classic where we'll need to make the aspects of Sunday's play our norm,  While there are certainly some things that this team needs to clean up and fine-tune, the level of excitement the proud coaches are feeling has become elevated!  The New Year brings so many opportunities to show what they can be!

13 BLACK | 1st Place

13 Black went undefeated to win the MKE Juniors Kickoff Tournament! The best part of the day was a 25-2 victory where Lyla McDonough served 22 straight points!!

The difference between this tournament and the last was major. We really stepped up and made great plays in serve receive and were able to get our middles, Elsa LaPean and Emma Pelischeck, more involved on offense. Our team was able to maintain our high and competitive level of play throughout the day which lead to some huge wins. Our defenders were incredibly scrappy and did a great job of reading and adjusting to all the different hitters we faced. The biggest weapon this weekend was our strong, aggressive serving. In addition to Lyla racking up aces, we also had incredible serving runs from Abbie Ishibashi, Aalysah Hayes, Matilda Kunath, and Taylor Doherty. And finally, a shoutout to Lilly Marsh and Lyla McDonough for making All Tournament Team!

Can’t wait for more success to come!

13 WHITE | 1st Place

GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONS

13W showed exactly what "no quit" looks like this weekend! The girls battled through massive deficits—erasing 8–10 point leads multiple times—to finish pool play 2-1. After a hard-fought battle in our final pool match (winning the first 25-14, losing the second 22-25, and dropping the third 9-15), we secured 1st place in the pool thanks to our superior point differential!

The girls proved that attitude is everything. They fought their way back into every set they were down, proving that no lead is safe when they are communicating and executing as a unit.

As we moved into the Gold Bracket, the competition was tough, but our resilience was stronger. We swept the first two matches against high-level teams to carry a wave of momentum into the championship. Once again, the girls showed their grit: after falling behind by 5+ points in the first set, they rallied for the win and dominated the second set to bring home the gold!

The energy in the gym was electric. The support from our parents and the noise from the bench made all the difference. This marks the first Gold Bracket win for both coaches, and we are so honored to have shared it with this incredible group of athletes.

The Highlights:

• Service Line Dominance: An incredible 71 total aces on the day! Congrats to Celia, Sophia, and Lexi on earning their Ace Pins.

• Big Plays: Shoutout to Ava for securing the team’s first Overpass Kill pin of the season!

• Iron Woman Performance: Tournament MVP Kylie set every single point of pool play with incredible hustle and heart.

The communication is clicking, the energy is high, and we are officially ready for the Badger Region tournament next weekend!

13 BOYS (December Badger Boy's Series)

The team brought some real holiday-season energy to the tournament, with Grayson and Charlie delivering pivotal serves that kept opponents on their heels. Hudson and Owen swung with confidence all day, while Everett’s hustle and steady play anchored the court. Reid’s setting opened doors for big plays, giving the whole squad chances to shine and keeping the momentum lively from start to finish.

They battled through a tough opener against Spike, shook it off, and bounced back with a fantastic win over MVP that showed their grit. The final match against Southport was a nail-biter, stretching to three hard-fought sets, and even though it didn’t end in a victory, the effort, teamwork, and spirit made it a performance to be proud of.

14 GOLD | 3rd Place

Great Weekend taking 3rd place at UW Whitewater.  The team played well together and battled through some tough games.  I would especially like to highlight the team's serving record with incredible runs from Nadia, Addison M, Destasia, and Jasmine.  Very proud of their work on the court supporting each other.

16 WHITE | 1st Place

Great weekend for 16White, finishing undefeated in the Milwaukee JRs Kickoff and only dropping 1 set all day. Despite playing short-handed (including 1 new teammate), this weekend was a huge turnaround in energy and teamwork compared to our first event. Can't wait to see how we use that momentum next weekend at Power League!

17 WHITE | 2nd Place

AM 17 White was in action on Sunday at Center Court for the Midwest Penguins Igloo tournament. We took a huge step forward this weekend as a team going 6-0 in sets and taking first in our pool, securing a first round playoff bye. We had strong serving performances with Aubrie, Promise, Malia, and Paige earning serving pins. Our first playoff game in the semifinals was against Lakes Juniors 18’s who we had beaten earlier during pool play. They came out swinging and we were down 22-16 before a well timed serving run helped us close the gap and pull out a 26-24 win. Very proud of the team for digging deep and coming back to win! Set 2 we were able to establish control and secure a trip to the championship match. Unfortunately, playing shorthanded with 7 girls caught up to us and we took home the silver. The steps forward this team has taken are undeniable and the coaches are excited to see the growth continue! Catch us in action this upcoming weekend in our first Badger Region Power League weekend at the MOSH!
