15 Black | 5-0 | 1st Place
This Saturday 15 Black competed in the MWP Classic at Center Court. This was our best volleyball of the season. All of the girls had stellar individual performances and as a team achieved our second championship of the season. All day long the team was loose and relaxed, played solid team defense, served strong and executed an aggressive attack. The girls kept stats this weekend and recorded some outstanding observations on the stats sheets for us.
Match 1 - 2 set win, 81% serving, 240 hitting, 2 face aces, 1 kill of a defenders face, and a passer fell down for now reason. #GetThePin - Ace pin for Katie.
Match 2 - tougher 3 set win, 85% serving, 3 big blocks (1 for Katie, Elyse for 2), almost a face ace. Crazy play of day - Katie's serve was passed off a face and returned for a bump kill. Ugh. #GetThePin - Ace pins for Katie and Sam. KC with an Ice Pin.
Match 3 - 2 set win, 95% serving, 15 kills vs 4 attack errors, 16 Aces vs 3 missed serves. 1st Block of the day. #GetThePin - Overpass Kill for Elyse, Ace for Rylee.
Match 4 - 2 set win, 12 kills on 5 errors, (stats got a bit loose here so not much) Our middles both had great games: Olivia had an assist, block, 3 kills including a bump kill. Elyse had multiple defense touches, 2 kills all while her hustle and energy fed the rest of the team.
Match 5 - 2 set win, 85% serving, 19 aces, 13 kills on 3 errors. Elyse started first set with a monster kill of the first reception of the match. Rylee ran off 3 aces in a row. #GetThePin - Overpass Kill from Morgan and Olivia, Katie earned another Ace pin.
